Hodges Hackney - Senior Warden

I was born in Washington, NC and have lived in this area all of my life. I attended public schools in Washington and subsequently graduated with a BS in Industrial Engineering at NC State University and MBA from the University of NC at Chapel Hill.  Following college I joined a small family company that we were able to build into an international business. It is now part of a large public corporation and I am President of the International Division.

I am a lifelong member of St. Peter’s and have served as a lay reader and chalice bearer for 42 years, served on the vestry 4 times and served as senior warden in 2005 and 2006. I have enjoyed my involvement in the Diocese of East Carolina having served on the Board of Directors of the Episcopal Foundation, as Trustee of the Diocese and on its Executive Council. I was on the original Board of Governors of Trinity Center that was responsible for the design, construction and operational setup of the facility.

My wife, Marsha, has also been a very active leader in St. Peter’s. Our three daughters were baptized, confirmed and married in St. Peter’s. We have many fond memories of our life in St. Peter’s wonderful, loving community and look forward to continuing our involvement in helping St. Peter’s continue to grow in spirit and in strength.
