Member of Saint Peter’s since 2001. Activities at St. Peter’s: Lay Reader, Eucharistic Minister, Brotherhood of St. Andrew, formerly on New Comer’s Committee, and Cursillo.
Formerly at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in West Palm Beach, Florida where I was a Vestry member for 3 terms and Senior Warden ,twice, Junior Warden, Lay Reader, Usher, member of Trinity Troupers players group, Mardi Gras Committee and Cursillo.
Prior to my time at Holy Trinity, I was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Lake Worth, Florida where I served on the Vestry and was Senior Warden. I have also attended Holy Cross Church, Valle Crucis, NC, serving on the Valle Fair Apple Butter Consortium, making and selling apple butter as part of the Fair contributing thousands in outreach to that mountain community.
I am married to Nancy McCauley Hamblin. Between us we have 5 children and 6 grandchildren, scattered across the country and Mexico, whom we try to keep up with and visit as we can. We live on West 12th Street in Washington.
Just before moving to Washington I retired from an architectural practice, in which I was a partner/principal, in Palm Beach County, FL. Moving here, meeting Nancy and being able to meet and know the congregation at Saint Peter’s were some of the very best things I have done. I look forward to the possibility of serving Saint Peter’s a member of the Vestry.
