I moved to Washington from Goldsboro in 2000 to take the Director of Public Health position with Beaufort County. I was raised in the Lutheran Church and most of the relatives I grew up with are Catholic. I felt I would be comfortable in the Episcopal Church and chose St. Peters when I first moved here.
I attended ALPHA in 2001, which had the greatest impact on my faith, and Cruisillo in 2002. I was also on Team for Cruisillo in 2004. At a previous church I taught the junior high age Sunday school class for several years and helped with Bible School.
I have been working in the Healthcare field - environmental health, health promotion, healthcare benefits, safety and Health Administration since 1981, mostly in Public Health with 6 years in private industry. I have a BS in Environmental Heath (1974) and an MA in Community Health from ECU (1988).
I have 2 grown sons, one living in Wilmington, NC and my oldest and his wife recently moved to Jacksonville FL. I am married to Phil Holloman. In 2004 we renewed our vows in the Chapel at St Peter's with Bill Bradbury.
I enjoy being outdoors, plants/gardening, reading, creative themes/decorations, and boating.
