I began attending St. Peter’s soon after moving to Washington in March 1989. I had moved here from Wake County to work as an Assistant District Attorney and now I am in private practice with my own law firm here in Washington.
Over the last 22 ½ years, I have found a” home” in our wonderful Anglican community. I was both baptized and confirmed as an adult at St. Peter’s. My contributions to St. Peter’s include teaching Sunday School for over 11 years – from classes for 2 and 3 year olds up to adults; being a delegate to the Diocesan Convention in Fayetteville; participating in Foyer; and serving on Altar Guild. I have enjoyed volunteering in other various activities – selling baked goods, cashiering at the indoor/outdoor yard sales, aiding with the Dental Clinic, helping with dinner for vacation bible school, hosting guests in my home, etc.
I was a Girl Scout leader for 13 years, during which for 9 of those years I spent a lot of my time as the Cookie Chairman for Beaufort and Hyde Counties. I was a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs – North Carolina for over 12 years and held positions on the local, district and state levels.
I am dedicated to giving all I can to St. Peter’s. Serving on the Vestry will be another way for me to put my talents to good use for our church.
